An ambitious renovation of an expansive apartment high above the streets of New York, this proposal for an updated family home acknowledged the stunning view for the theater that it is, orienting the space and its public areas around the views and specifically around a highly theatrical take on the domestic living room. The private family level above, more subdued in tone, has as its center a lushly vegetated winter garden.
